Spain: MAPAMA and FEBE collaborate to boost the spirits sector
The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment collaborates with the Spanish Federation of Spirits drinks to improve the competitiveness of the sector by signing a general protocol of action, which took place on March 1st. Valencian farmers consider the limitation of plantations for DO Cava to be detrimental to their viticulture

The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment has set at 4,950 hectares the area that may be authorized for applications for new vineyard plantations in 2018, at the national level, according to the resolution of the General Directorate of Agricultural Production and Markets published on December 29th in the BOE.
