    Iberian Ham from Spain will be promoted in Europe and Mexico

    Two projects promoted by ASICI and approved by the EU with an allocation of 5.8 million euros, will promote the Iberian Hams of Spain in international markets and disseminate the European production model, characterized by quality, traceability, food security and animal welfare, to advance in the conquest of foreign markets. This unprecedented initiative for the sector comes at a key moment, because it gives a great impetus to the Internationalization of one of the star products of our gastronomy. It should be remembered that Iberian ham, besides being a great food, healthy and natural, is tradition, culture and part of the European Gastronomic Heritage.

More than 600 professionals come together at the meeting point of reference for the companies that make up the agri-food chain of shared value of the Spanish fruit and vegetable sector.

    UNICA FRESH has begun production of the Baby Plum Vine Tomato variety called Sugarino RZ, after signing an exclusivity agreement with seed producer Rijk Zwaan. For the next three years, UNICA will be the only producer and distributor of this delicious tomato that guarantees a minimum 7,5-8ºBx sweetness level.

    Fercam will exceed 200 exhibitors for the first time in its history

    The 58th National Fair of the Field will count from July 4 to 8 in Manzanares with more than 200 exhibiting companies. For the first time in its history it will surpass this record figure, according to the Councilor of Commercial Fairs, Pablo Camacho. Fercam 2018, which completes its program of technical conferences and parallel activities, "will be the best showcase for the primary sector". Therefore, after the recent refusal of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Manzanareño City Council will propose to the new Government of Spain its participation and involvement in one of the most important agricultural fairs in the country.

    The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development, Rodrigo Sánchez Haro, has valued the Porc d'Or Iberian awards as an "incentive" for a sector that contributes 500 million euros to the Andalusian economy. This has been highlighted in Cordoba, during the gala of delivery of the 30 awards of the second edition of this contest organized by the Institute of Research and Technology Agroalimentarias (IRTA), attached to the Generalitat of Catalonia, and which recognizes the results productive activities of Spanish pig farms.
