    • The 40th edition of FIMA will feature King Felipe VI at its inauguration

    King Felipe VI will inaugurate, on February 20th, the 40th edition of the International Fair of Agricultural Machinery, FIMA 2018. The show, which is held until Saturday 24th, has the presence of more than 1,550 exhibiting firms and occupies the eleven pavilions of Feria de Zaragoza. It will be the second time that the monarch visits FIMA, since he already did it in 2014, when he was still Prince of Asturias. Then he received the FIMA gold badge from the president of Feria de Zaragoza, Manuel Teruel.

    FIMA will host the delivery of the Tractor Awards of Spain 2018

    The John Deere brand has closed its fiscal year 2017 with very good economic figures, maintaining the undisputed leadership that, for years, it has been exhibiting in the national market of agricultural tractors, according to Enrique Guillén, general director of John Deere Ibérica. In the presentation of his 2017 balance sheet, held in January in Madrid, Guillén highlighted a 6% increase in the turnover of the commercial unit of John Deere Ibérica.

    The 2017 RENOVE Plan is worth more than € 4.5M in aid for the renovation of agricultural machinery

    he Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment has made a balance of the RENOVE 2017 Plan for agricultural machinery, based on the compilation of data referring to the subsidies granted under the aforementioned Plan, worth 5 million euros. Data which shows the willingness of farmers to replace obsolete agricultural machinery with another one that incorporates the latest technologies, more respectful with the environment, more efficient and safer.

    Spain: approved the measures of the Support Program for the wine sector for the period 2019-2023

    The Spanish Government has approved, in the Council of Ministers held on January 12th, the application of the Support Program for the Spanish wine sector for the period 2019-2023. A decision that will make available to the sector measures financed by the EU, with an estimated budget of more than 1,000 million euros. The measures eligible to apply for grants will be wine promotion in third countries, restructuring and reconversion of vineyards, distillation of by-products and investments.
