García Tejerina praises the role of food as an engine of economic, social and cultural development
The Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment, Isabel García Tejerina, has praised the role of food as an engine of economic, social and cultural development, during the presentation of the XXIX Food Awards of Spain, held Tuesday, October 3th, at the headquarters of the Ministry. To boost this value of the agri-food, Tejerina has advanced that the Government works in a new Strategy of Food of Spain, that takes into account the synergies that can be taken advantage of between the feeding and many other sectors, like the gastronomy, the tourism , culture, sport, education, the environment and health.
A “tasty” network of reputed restaurants, anteroom of ‘Andalucía Sabor’
A total of 41 restaurants from the eight Andalusian provinces have allied themselves in the Sabor Network, which from September 15th and for a whole month will offer special menus with quality Andalusian products. This is an initiative that is part of the Gastronomic Congress Andalusia Sabor, the largest professional event of Andalusian gastronomy, which will take place at Fibes II, Seville, from September 25th to 27th, held in parallel to the agri-food Fair Andalucía Sabor.
Salon de Gourmets closes its last edition with more than 15% in affluence of professionals
The affluence of professional visitors in this latest edition of the Salón de Gourmets has been 95,346, more than 15.42% compared to 2016. With four pavilions, 1,630 exhibitors, 40,000 products, and 1,300 novelties, the 2017 can be considered as the best edition in the history of this Fair.
31st Salón de Gourmets kicks off with an emphasis on innovation, with more than 1,300 innovations
The 31st Salon de Gourmets has started after an opening day marked by the enormous diversity of participation, 1,630 exhibitors and 40,000 products, and with the focus on innovation, as has been demonstrated by the presentation of more than 1,300 product innovations Agro-food. Its inaugural day has been run by the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment, Isabel García Tejerina, who has traveled the 4 pavilions discovering food and drinks that "best reflect the Spanish gastronomic sector, a benchmark in the world and that every day is more fashionable, for its quality and variety".
The 31st Salon de Gourmets will award excellence in the different areas of gastronomy and agri-food
