COMPO EXPERT will be present again at the International Congress of Red Fruits, which will be held in Huelva (Palacio de Congresos de Casa Colón) on June 20 and 21. Organized by the Association of Producers and Exporters of Strawberries of the province of Huelva, Freshuelva, this event reaches its fourth edition, having become the most important European level meeting of the berries sector.

COMPO EXPERT Spain has opened new facilities in Gran Canaria, specifically in the town of Telde. The presentation of the new warehouse, with an area of 1,500 m2, has served to showcase some of the company's most innovative products, such as Kamasol® Aqua and Vitanica® RZ, which are of great interest to farmers in the archipelago.
The Canarian government shows the best of its wine production in FENAVIN 2017
Canarias exhibits the excellence of its wines in FENAVIN 2017, one of the most important meeting points of the wine sector, which stands out for its ability to generate business contacts and whose last edition brings together some 17,000 buyers. The presence of the Canary Islands in this fair, which takes place in Ciudad Real from 9th to 11th May, will be strongly represented by the wines from 19 wineries and seven Regulatory Councils of the Denominations of Origin of the Archipelago, as well as the Cabildo de Tenerife, through The Vinos de Tenerife brand, which will participate in this fair under the umbrella of the Canarian Government's stand.
Domingo Martín Ortega, new president of ASPROCAN
Domingo Martín Ortega, has been elected new president of the Association of Canarian Plantain Producers Organizations (ASPROCAN), according to the agreement adopted by the Ordinary General Assembly of the organization, held on April 6th in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. After his election, Martín Ortega has emphasized the importance of preserving the unity of the sector, something that he considers fundamental at a time when the Canary Islands' Banana must face great challenges, both in Spain and in Europe, on the ground Banana marketing and competition with bananas from third countries.
EU: Spain will defend approval of the protocol proposed by the Canary Islands to eliminate Guatemalan moth
The Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment, Isabel García Tejerina, has assured that the Spanish Government is working so that the protocol proposed by the Canary Government for the elimination of the Guatemalan Moth is approved in the European Union, so that the Canary Islands potato can be exported back to EU territory. Protocol which, in its day, was sent to the European Commission and whose approval is currently being negotiated.
