MAGRAMA and INLAC address the second phase of the campaign to encourage the consumption of dairy
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment (MAGRAMA) and the Interprofessional Organization Way (INLAC) have begun the second phase of the promotion campaign "Dairy here every day" to encourage consumption of milk and milk products, it will run until the end of September. The objective of this action is to introduce the variety and importance of dairy products in a balanced diet.
Andalusia will examine the impact of ‘Brexit’ on the food industry
The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development, Carmen Ortiz, announced that his department will conduct a study of the impact of the departure of the United Kingdom of the European Union ('Brexit') on the Andalusian agro-food sector. Ortiz made these remarks at the closing ceremony of the General Assembly of Agro-Food Cooperatives of Andalusia, whose member companies have increased this year its turnover by 19.6% to over 7,600 million euros.

BASF will train technicians of DCoop in olive growing and olive grove solutions
BASF Spain and DCoop cooperative group have signed a collaboration agreement by which BASF is committed over the next three years to provide training to technicians DCoop in key aspects of olive growing and olive grove solutions. The agreement, signed on May 11th by the Director of the Division of Crop Protection BASF Spain, Silvia Cifre, and deputy General Manager of DCoop, Rafael Sanchez de Puerta Diaz, includes updating the technical staff of the cooperative in such matters as new ways of controlling olive fly, integrated control tools repilo or physiology of olives and oil quality.
Record in the Spanish agri-food exports in 2015, with over 44,000M€
Minister of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Isabel García Tejerina, has emphasized the purely export character of the Spanish food sector, which in 2015 broke historical records with more than 44,000 million euros, almost 30% more than in 2011, and a positive balance of more than 10,000 million euros. The minister, who was speaking during the closing session of the General Assembly of the Spanish Federation of Industries Food and Beverage (IFLA), stressed the position of the processing industry sector, which ranks as the sixth of Europe, and represents a strategic activity "with a drag decisive effect on agriculture, livestock and fisheries."

Rafa Nadal, the only Spanish player to win Queens (2008) and one of the seven players able to complete the double title-Wimbledon Queen's Club in the same year, is the image of this Spanish gourmet product for the European promotional campaign.
The Spanish Jose Antonio Garcia Regueiro, new president of the Technical Group on Nutrition and Health CLITRAVI
The Spanish researcher, Jose Antonio Garcia Regueiro, has been elected Chairman of the Working Group on Nutrition and Health of CLITRAVI, a proposal from the Confederation of Business Organizations in the meat sector in Spain (CONFECARNE). The activity of that group focuses on scientific monitoring, data analysis on the role of meat in feeding and recovery of meat and meat products. CLITRAVI is the organization, based in Brussels, which represents the interests of more than 13,000 European meat industry.
The dairy production sector, strengthened after the signing of Agreement of value chain by UPA
The dairy production sector will be strengthened its negotiating position after the accession of the Union of Small Farmers and Ranchers (UPA) to the Agreement for Stability and Sustainability of the value chain in the beef sector of milk, according praised the Secretary General of Agriculture and Food, Carlos Cabanas, who presided on June 9th at the headquarters of the Ministry, the eighth monthly follow-up meeting in the dairy Agreement.
