The Interprofessional Organization of Fruit and Vegetables of Spain HORTIESPAÑA, wants to continue with its work of defense of the greenhouse and make the jump to the European market to continue promoting and putting in value this system of culture, changing the negative image and the erroneous beliefs that have been settled in the minds of European consumers about winter products.
Pilot program to implement an electronic system that verifies the export of Chilean fruit to China
The China Entry & Exit Biosecurity Society (CBS) and the Association of Exporters of Chilean Fruit AG (ASOEX) have signed an agreement for the implementation of an Electronic Verification System for Chilean fruit exports to China. The purpose of this agreement is to ensure that fruits meet the quality and safety standards of both countries, as well as to make inspections more efficient at the ports of entry of the Chinese market.

The candidate of FEPEX, Juan Marín, was elected last December 5, in Brussels, president of the European Association of the Trade of Fruits and Vegetables of the EU, EUCOFEL, taking over from the current president of FEPEX, Jorge Brotons.
CETA: an agreement favorable to exports of fruit and vegetables from the EU
The Free Trade Agreement with Canada (CETA), signed on Sunday, October 30th, will help to promote exports of the fruit and vegetable sector of the European Union, according to the Spanish Federation of Associations of Producers Exporters of Fruits, Vegetables, Flowers and Living plants (FEPEX).
Spain: Concern and uncertainty in the fruit and vegetable sector by the ‘yes’ to the Brexit
The 'Yes' by citizenship on leaving the United Kingdom of the European Union (Brexit) has generated a climate of concern and uncertainty among the Spanish fruit and vegetable sector, since this country is the third largest market for Spanish exports of fruit and fresh vegetables, with 1.1 million tons, according to the Spanish Federation of Producers and Exporters of Fruits, vegetables, Flowers and live Plants (FEPEX). A figure which represents 11.4% of total exports in 2015, worth 1,614 million euros.
