Spanish exports of agricultural equipment resist the poor situation of the European market and increase in 2016 almost 3%

Exports of the Spanish agricultural equipment industry show its good health, in spite of the difficult situation of the European market, its main destination, reaching in 2016 a total of 2,101,665,042.68 €, representing a growth of almost 3% with In relation to 2015. Data, published by AGRAGEX, the Spanish Association of Manufacturers and Exporters of Agricultural Machinery and Components, Greenhouses, Crop Protection, Irrigation Systems, Livestock Equipment, Animal Health and Nutrition, Forestry, Biomass And Post-Harvest, on the occasion of its participation in the International Fair for Animal Production-FIGAN, which took place in Zaragoza from 28th to 31th March.

The agricultural division of Bayer increased its sales in Spain by 4% during 2016

Bayer’s agricultural division (Bayer Crop Science) closed 2016 with a 4% increase in its sales in Spain, which amounted to 193 million euros, confirming the positive trend in our country of this area of business of the company, whose turnover during last year in the Iberia region was 223 million euros, 2.6% more than in 2015. Despite the decline experienced by sales of Bayer Crop Science in Portugal, which in 2016 were 30 million (-6%), this division has been experiencing improvement and growth as a whole, which respond to Bayer’s commitment to providing innovative and sustainable solutions to farmers.

Livestock Forum analyzes the state of animal health

From 10 to 12 May 2016, the Gran Via de Fira de Barcelona will host Livestock Forum, an international forum to support the improvement of livestock production in an initiative that aims to provide a cross section and updated technology and processes that are carried out at present to achieve the optimization of production through animal health to ensure self-sufficiency. Livestock holding Forum fills a gap in the calendar of exhibition or congress events dedicated to livestock as it is the first forum designed to provide a comprehensive response to the challenges of this sector.

Spain: The Vet + i platform organizes a day of work on l R & D in Animal Health

The Vet + i platform organizes a working session focused on opportunities for R & D in Animal Health under the European Horizon 2020 program in Bioeconomy and Health, which will be advised by experts from the CDTI of new and future calls. The workshop will take place on November 5 in the NH Nacional hotel in Madrid.
