Spain’s almond sector moderates its historic forecasts after an unusually prolonged bloom

With the flowering stage now completed across Spain, the almond crop enters its final phase showing a more moderate outlook than initially expected. Despite the historic production forecast released at the beginning of the 2025/26 season, the combination of a prolonged bloom, irregular weather and localized frost damage suggests that final yields will be closer to last year’s levels than to the record scenario first projected.
