Cuna de Platero initiates the sustainable cultivation of strawberry in Ávila to be able to serve berries all the year
The Moguereña Cuna de Platero cooperative has started sustainable strawberry cultivation in Avila in order to offer a constant supply of berries throughout the year, as it will be able to have fresh strawberries from June to October, developing its concept "Your Global Berry Partner" . The company has five hectares of cultivation in Castilla y León in which it applies the same sustainability criteria as in Huelva.

El Salvador: IICA collaborates with the Ministry of Agriculture to revive coffee cultivation
The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock of El Salvador and the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) have signed an agreement to revive coffee cultivation in this country. This agreement, signed by IICA Director General Víctor M. Villalobos and the Minister of Agriculture of Livestock and President of the National Center for Agricultural and Forestry Technology (CENTA), Orestes Ortez, will serve to strengthen and improve the sustainability and competitiveness of the coffee chain.

Spain: EC approves additional quota for the withdrawal of 3,015 tonnes of fruit and vegetables
As part of the exceptional measures against the Russian veto, the European Commission has granted Spain an additional quota for the withdrawal of 3,015 tonnes of fruit and vegetables by publishing a resolution in the Official Journal of the EU (DOUE) of March 4th. This measure responds to a request from Spain, which requested the reallocation of the 18,000 tonnes that were not used by other Member States. Following the reallocation of the additional quotas, Spain remains the second beneficiary Member State of aid to producers, behind Poland.

UPA asks Tejerina to defend the beet producers of Montoro’s tax collection
The Union of Small Farmers and Ranchers (UPA) has accused the Ministry of Finance and Public Service of proposing a tax on sugar with a desire to collect and without "minimally analyze" the impact that this tax will on the economy of the primary sector.
