Record low for the last 10 years in the table olive harvest
The Association of Young Farmers (ASAJA) in Seville alert the national table olive harvest 2016/2017 will beat a record, but on the downside, as it will be the lowest in the last decade, due to the lack of rain and prolonged hot. In fact, due to the absence of table olive, many farmers have stopped collecting awaiting the olive fruit ripens, because although rumpled and low-caliber olives are not suitable for marketing as table olive, they can be used for oil production.

New extension standard for Iberian pig sector
During the meeting of the General Council of Agrifood Interprofessional Organizations, held on September 27th and which has chaired the Secretary General of Agriculture and Food, Carlos Cabanas, has been reported favorably on the extension of standard for the whole of the Iberian pig industry. This is the fourth extension of standard managed by the Interprofessional Association of Iberian pig (ASICI), which will last five years from its entry into force by publishing the corresponding ministerial order.
COAG Murcia, against the great wineries for ruining the price of grapes
COAG Murcia has lambasted the pricing policy being made in their region by the largest wine groups, considering that doesn't value the work of farmers, whose grapes are bought well below their production costs. The agricultural organization denounces this practice through large wineries come to mark their low prices for the rest of the sector, as happened last season, which was paid by the Monastrell grape of this region € 0.23 /Kilo.
A short campaign in stocks of must and wine
The 2015/2016 campaign ends with stocks of must and wine below the average of the last four seasons. Spain, the European leader in industries that export pork to China
After a long negotiation process, which dates back to June 2015, China's health authorities have extended the authorization to export pigmeat, legs and hands to five new Spanish settlements. With this inclusion, the list of authorized Spanish industries expands to 26, making Spain the European country with the largest number of approved establishments, ahead of countries like Germany, Denmark and France.
