World Olive Oil Exhibition 2017, endorsed as an international fair
The World Olive Oil Exhibition (WOOE), International Meeting of Olive Oil to be held on 29th and 30th March in Ifema (Madrid) has just been recognized as an international fair by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness. This official endorsement recognizes the merits of the WOOE, an event totally oriented to the international business that for six years is celebrated in Madrid and that faces the final straight of its most ambitious edition.
Lamb meat continues to gain fans
According to the latest market study commissioned by the Interprofessional Agro-Food Organization of Sheep and Goats (INTEROVIC), the upward trend in lamb meat consumption in Spain continues, reinforcing the increase recorded last year. Internationalization, the great challenge of the Spanish ham industry

A bank of Catalan olive varieties with more than 50 references
Since 1988, the Catalan Generalitat's Institute for Research and Agro-Food Technologies (IRTA) has been working on the conservation of the genetic resources of the Catalan olive grove, consolidating, up today, a collection that registers more than 50 varieties and occupies a Surface of 0.6 ha. in its center of Mas de Bover, in Constantí (Tarragona).
The table olives premier quality standard
Since December 16th, the table olive has quality standard approved by the Council of Ministers, together with that of flour, semolina and other products from the grinding of cereals and beer and malt beverages, at the proposal of the Ministries of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment, and Health, Social Services and Equality.
