FIMA promotes professional employment in the agricultural sector
The 40th edition of the International Fair of Agricultural Machinery (FIMA) of Zaragoza, which will take place from 20th to 24th February 2018, relaunches its 'FIMA Employment Exchange', after the success of this initiative in its previous edition. Through it, it seeks to promote employment in the agricultural sector, serving as a link between industry and professionals. In this way, FIMA reaffirms its permanent commitment to companies in the primary sector, contributing to the professionalization and generation of employment in the agricultural sector.
Spain: the deadline for submitting applications for direct aid from the CAP is opened
From February 1st to April 30th, the deadline for the presentation of the single application for direct aid from the PAC is opened. A campaign in which 745,000 producers will be able to apply for such aid, the total amount of which will amount to 4,940 million euros, which can be paid in the form of advances as of October 16th and the balance as of December 1. In the same period, requests for payment of the rural development measures included in the scope of the integrated management and control system and the request for access to the National Reserve of the Basic Payment System may also be submitted.

Innovation, the Common Agricultural Policy and Europe focus the attention of Agroexpo 2018
The latest edition of the international fair of machinery and agriculture of Don Benito (Badajoz), Agroexpo, provides, from 24th to 27th January, the ideal showcase to show the full potential of Extremadura agriculture, a benchmark for innovation, growth and competitiveness. The 2017 RENOVE Plan is worth more than € 4.5M in aid for the renovation of agricultural machinery
he Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment has made a balance of the RENOVE 2017 Plan for agricultural machinery, based on the compilation of data referring to the subsidies granted under the aforementioned Plan, worth 5 million euros.
