Brave policies for sustaining fisheries in the Mediterranean sea
Spain has invited the countries bordering the Mare Nostrum and the European Government to take "bold steps" to promote sustainable fisheries management in those waters, which impact the benefit of fishing communities. His thesis argues for tighter regulation of the effort exerted by recreational fishing, the establishment of new protected areas and the increase in the reduction effort aimed at the most sensitive fleets.

Mediterranean fleet grouped in the Spanish Fisheries Confederation (CEPESCA) have again shown its initiative to reverse the situation in the Mediterranean, as has been demonstrated in the "Seminar on the status of stocks in the Mediterranean and the approach PPC ", organized by the Directorate General of Fisheries of the European Commission (DG Mare) and the Advisory Council for the Mediterranean (MEDAC) and held this week in Catania (Italy).
Mexico: Fishing for tuna in the Pacific has already begun
The government has given free rein to start from January 18 the 2016 fishing season for the different species of tuna in the Pacific Ocean, ending on November 18 of this year. Through the National Commission of Aquaculture and Fisheries (CONAPESCA) in coordination with the National Fisheries Institute (INAPESCA), the ban applies to protect productive periods of the commercial species of tuna. In the last 10 years there has been an average production of 138,632 tonnes of tuna, with an average growth rate of 1.48%.
