Parliament calls restrict the use of antibiotics in livestock
The use of existing veterinary antibiotics should be limited, while the development of new products is encouraged, to combat the growing resistance of bacteria to antimicrobial drugs, according to the Parliament. In ruling on the proposed changes to Community legislation on veterinary medicines, the Chamber requested that the collective and preventive treatment of animals is prohibited, and supported boost research into new medicines.

Spain needs 235 million euros of European funds to organizations of fruit and vegetables
The Spanish Government has informed the European Commission about funding requirements for operational programs of the organizations of fruit and vegetables 235 million euros by 2016. Of this, 19.5 million euros related to measures to prevention and management of market crises, which represents 9% of the total.

Spain presents the capacity to the fishing of bluefin tuna in 2016
The European country will have 3,534 tons of bluefin tuna to capture this season. The fishing opportunities for the Spanish fleet increased by 19.53%, 577 more than in 2015.
