Exports of the Spanish pork sector exceeded five billion euros in 2017
The pig sector of Spanish white coat closed the year of 2017 with a historical record, which consolidates it as one of the strategic engines of the national economy and as a great world power, thanks to its model of sustainable production. A turnover of more than 15,000 million euros, and exports that totaled 5,022 million euros in 2017, confirm this positive valuation, according to a report of INTERPORC, the Interprofessional of Porcino de Capa Blanca. This organization will once again have an active participation and represent this important economic segment in MEAT ATTRACTION 2018, the Meat Sector Fair. The only Spanish show devoted exclusively to the meat industry, organized by IFEMA and the National Association of Meat Industries of Spain, ANICE, will hold its second edition from September 18 to 20 at the Feria de Madrid.

The Interprofessional of the Porcino of Capa Blanca (INTERPORC) has organized from May 14 to 18 the program 'International Spanish Pork Week' in Shanghai (China), which includes a wide program of activities with a triple objective: to promote the qualities of the products of the Spanish pig in the Asian giant, facilitate commercial exchanges between Spanish companies and Chinese importers and strengthen institutional relations between both countries.
UPA describes as “impossible” the pretensions of the European Commission with the budget of the CAP
"What the European Commission intends with the CAP is impossible". This has been expressed by the Union of Small Farmers and Ranchers to know the proposed EU budget for the years 2021 to 2027. The president of the National Association of Meat Industries of Spain (ANICE), Alberto Jiménez, and the president of Cajamar Caja Rural, Eduardo Baamonde, have signed a collaboration agreement to boost the competitiveness of the Spanish meat industry, offering financial solutions as they strengthen the internationalization, innovation, modernization and improvement of its more than 600 companies, from SMEs to large industrial groups that encompass all the activities of the meat sector chain: slaughterhouses and cutting rooms for pigs, cattle and sheep, factories of sausages and all kinds of processed, hams and Iberian products, among others.
ASAJA celebrates a conference on the situation of the Iberian and its possible growth
