    • Innovation, the Common Agricultural Policy and Europe focus the attention of Agroexpo 2018

    The latest edition of the international fair of machinery and agriculture of Don Benito (Badajoz), Agroexpo, provides, from 24th to 27th January, the ideal showcase to show the full potential of Extremadura agriculture, a benchmark for innovation, growth and competitiveness. The Minister of Environment and Rural, Agrarian Policies and Territory, Begoña García Bernal, was in charge of inaugurating this new agricultural event that focuses on innovation, the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and Europe.

    Continental Tires will participate in FIMA with its “Passion for the Earth” campaign

    The German company Continental Commercial Specialty Tires has launched, at the beginning of 2018, its "Passion for the Earth" campaign, under which it will include all its activities for its return to the Agricultural sector, and which will have one of its key moments during the Fair International Agricultural Machinery (FIMA), which takes place in Zaragoza from 20th to 24th February.     The 2017 RENOVE Plan is worth more than € 4.5M in aid for the renovation of agricultural machinery

    he Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment has made a balance of the RENOVE 2017 Plan for agricultural machinery, based on the compilation of data referring to the subsidies granted under the aforementioned Plan, worth 5 million euros. Data which shows the willingness of farmers to replace obsolete agricultural machinery with another one that incorporates the latest technologies, more respectful with the environment, more efficient and safer.

    The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment participates in the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) 2018, which takes place between January 17th and 21th  at the IFEMA fairgrounds in Madrid. The Department has a stand of 360 square meters, located in Hall 9 of the fair, to publicize the wide possibilities offered by the conjunction of National Parks, Biosphere Reserves, Spanish cuisine and Natural Roads, through a tour of the Spanish geography, under the message "Travel through the landscapes and flavors of Spain".

    Spain: approved the measures of the Support Program for the wine sector for the period 2019-2023

    The Spanish Government has approved, in the Council of Ministers held on January 12th, the application of the Support Program for the Spanish wine sector for the period 2019-2023. A decision that will make available to the sector measures financed by the EU, with an estimated budget of more than 1,000 million euros. The measures eligible to apply for grants will be wine promotion in third countries, restructuring and reconversion of vineyards, distillation of by-products and investments.

    China opens its borders to the Argentine blueberry
