Grants to support new markets and promotion of fishery and aquaculture products

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment (MAGRAMA) published in the Official Gazette (BOE) a call for aid for the development of new markets and promotional campaigns of fishery products and aquaculture 2016, provided with a budget of 250,000 euros.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment (MAGRAMA) published in the Official Gazette (BOE) a call for aid for the development of new markets and promotional campaigns of fishery products and aquaculture 2016, provided with a budget of 250,000 euros.

The grants will be used for actions such as the organization and participation in fairs and congresses, buying advertising space in the media, organizing actions at the point of sale, or conducting studies aimed at opening new markets, including others. These grants are financed with the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund and as a novelty, may be requested on a multiannual basis.

It will be beneficiary organizations representing non-profit and commercial extractive fisheries and aquaculture and national or supra-autonomous sphere, who undertake a program of promotion of products, which may be multiannual, lasting up to 24 months. The grant will cover 60% of the investment, with a maximum limit of € 100,000 per beneficiary.

With this call develops the Royal Decree of June 2016 establishing the regulatory bases of subsidies for the development of new markets and promotional campaigns of fishery products and aquaculture established.
