Asaja Murcia demands that the Government focus efforts to reopen the Russian market

18 de January de 2017/in *Featured slider, EU, Fruit and Vegetable, International /by Redacción ECA

The professional agricultural organization ASAJA Murcia demands the Government of Spain to work with intensity, from the highest levels, to achieve an end to the Russian veto of EU products and to recover a market “fundamental for the fruit and vegetable sector”.

ASAJA Murcia urges the Spanish Government to intensify its diplomatic actions in order to re-open the market of Russia to the Spanish hortofrutícolas products

“We have received many requests from producers, companies and cooperatives that want to remarket their horticultural products in the Russian market, so we understand that this issue is a high priority for our sector,” says the secretary general of this organization, Alfonso Gálvez Caravaca.

In addition, the spokesman of ASAJA Murcia has stressed that “Russia has always been an important market complementary to the European, but with a significant specific weight in our exports, so we can not afford to lose it. It has been a very attractive market and with a very interesting consumption for the Spanish hortofrutícolas products “.
