The Interprofessional of Wine will strengthen its collaboration with the Regulatory Councils
The Interprofessional of Wine of Spain has recently celebrated its Ordinary General Assembly, preceded by a Board of Directors, in which it has been agreed to continue working with the Spanish Conference of Wine Regulatory Councils (CECRV) for the signing of an agreement between both that allows the Creation of a Joint Committee in which the representatives of the Regulatory Councils participate and their incorporation in the Marketing Commission, in charge of the promotion actions.
The meeting approved the 2016 accounts and the organization’s budget for 2017, focused on the development of the objectives established in the extension of the standard. Specifically, in the area of marketing and promotion, the work carried out so far by the consultant BMC Strategic Innovation, at the request of the Marketing Committee of the Interprofessional, was validated in order to elaborate a strategy for the recovery of wine consumption in Spain as a basis for future promotion and communication campaigns in our country.
The Assembly also approved the program for the day of presentation of the Interprofessional on 19 April at the CaixaForum in Madrid
The day, conducted by RTVE journalist Sandra Sutherland, will serve to show first hand the challenges and objectives of the Interprofessional, in addition to highlighting the economic, social, environmental and cultural importance of wine. The registration deadline is still open through the address jornadaoive@agrifood.es.
Lastly, the Interprofessional Assembly has decided to relieve Jaime Palafox of his duties as Managing Director. On an interim basis, he will assume these functions at the head of the Wine Interprofessional from now on Susana García Dolla, member of the Board of Directors of Interprofesional.
