The Interprofessional and the Wine Regulatory Councils will coordinate their activity through a joint committee

The Spanish Wine Interprofessional (OIVE) and the Spanish Conference of Wine Regulatory Councils (CECRV) have agreed to set up a joint committee composed of representatives of both organizations, which will deal with issues related to appellations of origin of the aims and objectives of the Interprofessional Organization.

The Spanish Wine Interprofessional (OIVE) and the Spanish Conference of Wine Regulatory Councils (CECRV) have agreed to set up a joint committee composed of representatives of both organizations, which will deal with issues related to appellations of origin of the aims and objectives of the Interprofessional Organization.

This initiative is part of the agreement signed by both parties in July, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment, in Madrid, in the presence of the Secretary General of Agriculture and Food, Carlos Cabanas Godino, and Of the Director General of the Agro-alimentary Industry of MAPAMA, Fernando J. Burgaz.

In addition to the constitution of this body in common, the agreement will also serve for OIVE and CECRV to work on measures regarding image and promotion of moderate consumption of wine in our country, and in other areas contemplated in the extension of the norm of OIVE or in the objectives of both organizations, to value the contribution of the sector in terms of economic, social and environmental sustainability and to boost and promote the research, development and innovation of the wine sector.

The agreement also involves the incorporation of the Spanish Conference of Wine Regulatory Councils to the Interprofessional Marketing Committee that is guiding and planning the wine promotion campaign that OIVE will carry out in the next three years, aimed at the recovery of consumption Of wine in our country, one of the main objectives of OIVE, shared by both organizations.
