The future of new irrigation and modernization of agriculture go through the introduction of new technologies, which are “key” to the development of rural areas, as they have all agreed participants in the conference “Modernization and new irrigation” in Agroexpo fair (Don Benito, Spain).
This initiative is framed in the activities of the International Agroexpo, which has now opened its doors on the fairgrounds (FEVAL) Don Benito (Badajoz), according Efeagro. One of the speakers, the general director of Rural Development of the Government of Extremadura, Manuel Mejias, has emphasized that the future of the new irrigation should go toward improving farm with “more effective” risk and control production costs.

Therefore, Mejias has stressed the need to financially support farmers to continue improving its infrastructure and has been identified as a key aspect of the industry technical training in order to arrive technologies “in a timely manner” to farmers. Some progress has finished, it will contribute to the development of agriculture as an economic engine “capable of generating employment”.
