FIMA will host the delivery of the Tractor Awards of Spain 2018
For the second consecutive edition, the International Fair of Agricultural Machinery, FIMA 2018, will be the setting chosen for the delivery of the awards to the Tractor of Spain 2018.
These awards, of recognized national prestige, aim, like FIMA, to encourage the development of Spanish agriculture
On February 20th, the inaugural day of this agricultural machinery event, a benchmark in the sector and this year celebrates its 40th edition, will be unveiled the winners of the Tractor of Spain 2018 contest.
The contest, whose jury is composed of technicians specialized in the field of agricultural mechanization, the farmers themselves – popular vote – and some specialized media, rewards the best tractors that were marketed in the European market between January and December 2017.
The competition consists of five categories:
In the first, the prizes are divided according to the power of these agricultural machines:
– Tractor of Spain up to 100cv.
– Tractor of Spain from 101 to 200 hp.
– Tractor of Spain more than 201 hp.
The second category, which is called “Special Tractors”, includes fruit tractors, vineyards, forestry or machines that by their characteristics are considered special
In third and last place, this contest rewards the best multi-purpose team; a category in which are included agro-industrial equipment, telescopic mixed-use and backhoe loaders – although these do not qualify for the prize of Tractor of Spain, they are within this selection-.
Feria de Zaragoza, in order to demonstrate its commitment to professionals in the agricultural sector, is committed to encouraging the incorporation of technological improvements to machinery and techniques in the field to increase the efficiency of agricultural activity.
In this sense, the celebration of this award within the framework of FIMA 2018 demonstrates the confidence of the companies and organizations of the agri-food sector in this international reference event, which faces this edition with very optimistic perspectives, thanks to the presence of more than 1,500 exhibiting firms that will occupy 160,000 meters of exhibition.
