Commercialized 145,400 tons of oil in July
The dynamism of the olive oil market is maintained, with 145,400 tons sold in the month of July. To date, the total quantity sold is 1,303,500 tons, 16% above the previous season, with a monthly average marketing of 130,400 tons.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has published the olive oil market bulletin for the month of July 2019, the tenth month of the campaign, which states that the available resources continue above the average of previous campaigns (+ 39% ) as a result of the historical production record marked this campaign (1,785,900 tons).
As of July 31, the total quantity sold is 1,303,500 tons, 16% above the previous season, with a monthly marketing average of 130,400 tons. The month of July stands out, which, with 145,400 tons, represents the maximum of the campaign and the best figure for this month at the historical level, only behind that of the 2013/14 campaign.
Exports continue the positive trend of recent months, reaching a volume of 100,000 tons in July and a total in the campaign of 840,000 tons, 16.2% above the previous one. What is sold in the internal market is 15% higher and maintains its upward trend with an output of 463,500 tons and 46,400 tons / month on average.
Meanwhile, total stocks stand at 984,200 tons and continue at maximum levels compared to previous campaigns.
In the penultimate month of the campaign, the table olive shows a volume of commercialization superior to that of the previous campaign with 479,280 tons (+ 6%)
In the national market, after the rise in prices in the months of June and July, there is a slight decrease in August in a context of lower market operations. In week 34 (August 19-25) the price is € 2.10 / kg for the average of categories, with € 2.26 / kg in the case of the extra virgin. Internationally, the falls that began in the month of June are maintained, although contributions are only recorded in the last two weeks in Greece.

In the penultimate month of the campaign, the table olive shows a volume of commercialization superior to that of the previous campaign with 479,280 tons (+ 6%), thanks to the increase in exports and despite the decrease in departures in the internal market. Final stocks stand at 446,790 tons, 3% above the previous season.
