Planasa incorporates a new general manager for its subsidiary in the Netherlands
The company Planasa, in its eagerness to promote its commercial activity and development of new varieties in the North and East of Europe has just joined Jorrit de Vries as General Director of Planasa Holland. With more than 25 years of experience in the sector, Jorrit has a long history in the business of red fruits.
Planasa’s strategic plan for the coming years has as main objectives to expand the nursery business in the north and east of Europe, an area where its activity is currently focused on strawberry, raspberry, blueberry and asparagus. For this, it has agricultural operations in strategic locations in Europe and Morocco, as well as the establishment of a network of Research and Development centers in the most representative markets. The baggage of Jorrit in the horticultural sector, and especially in red fruits, is key to achieve this end.
Jorrit de Vries has more than 25 years of experience in the sector.
Throughout his long career, Jorrit has gained great experience in the different phases of the business value chain: fruit production, technical management of fruit nurseries and their subsequent commercialization of plants. In addition, lately he has been advising farmers in various countries in the cultivation of red fruits.
