Livestock Forum analyzes the state of animal health
From 10 to 12 May 2016, the Gran Via de Fira de Barcelona will host Livestock Forum, an international forum to support the improvement of livestock production in an initiative that aims to provide a cross section and updated technology and processes that are carried out at present to achieve the optimization of production through animal health to ensure self-sufficiency. Livestock holding Forum fills a gap in the calendar of exhibition or congress events dedicated to livestock as it is the first forum designed to provide a comprehensive response to the challenges of this sector.
The first edition of Livestock Forum convened leading experts in the industry who will share the latest technical advances in the sector within the framework of a program of lectures with the participation of national and international experts and will have an important commercial representation with about 200 exhibitors from around the world.
Livestock Forum was created with the clear aim of creating a space for debate, unprecedented not only in Europe but around the world, allowing for the exchange of knowledge and experiences on issues related to animal health, ranging from food security to welfare farm animals, through the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
The event, which will have an exhibition area in which all segments involved will be present in the value chain of animal production from research and genetics to sacrifice, has the support and advice of the International Advisory Board which will include representatives of organizations such as the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) and the Institute for Research and Technology (IRTA), among other organizations and institutions.
In this sense, this forum aims to be a tool to promote reflection and transversal and interdisciplinary analysis at international level to address the technical challenges of sustainable and safe animal production. Livestock Forum will present a new program of activities and networking meetings that make it possible to share best practices, experiences and transfer of technology and know-how between the different actors of the sector to this end.
The Project Manager of the first edition of Livestock Forum, Manel Rubio, said: “This event is an unprecedented initiative in the show calendar, and you want to offer a transverse view and updated technologies and processes that are currently applied to produce healthy and safe animal origin intended for human consumption “food.
The influence of animal health on human health
The first edition of Livestock Forum will bring together the world’s leading experts to analyze the influence of animal health on human health.
