Innovation, the Common Agricultural Policy and Europe focus the attention of Agroexpo 2018
The latest edition of the international fair of machinery and agriculture of Don Benito (Badajoz), Agroexpo, provides, from 24th to 27th January, the ideal showcase to show the full potential of Extremadura agriculture, a benchmark for innovation, growth and competitiveness. The Minister of Environment and Rural, Agrarian Policies and Territory, Begoña García Bernal, was in charge of inaugurating this new agricultural event that focuses on innovation, the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and Europe.

Making a tour of the different ships you can see something that has been checking for some time: that despite this year’s drought, despite the problems, the Extremadura agri-food sector has confidence in its future because it is producing quality, quantity and the market is receptive to those signals. Agroexpo is one of the most important agrarian forums held every year in our country.
Agroexpo 2018 is expected to close its doors with a balance of around 60,000 visitors
On the occasion of this inaugural day, Valentin Almansa de Lara, General Director of Health of Agricultural Production of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment has assured that they are working for the sector with an eye on Brussels, the reform of the PAC and the Brexit.
Congratulations on the thirty years of Agroexpo have been constant and on the part of the organizing entity has offered a commemorative detail to the different presidents who have held their position in the Organizing Committee of the Trade Fair Institution of Extremadura (FEVAL). Manuel Gómez Parejo has done a review for thirty years of history and has appreciated the efforts of those first entrepreneurs who with their own financial contributions gave life to the first Trade Fair. The mayor of Don Benito, José Luis Quintana, has highlighted the commercial opportunity that Agroexpo represents for all businessmen who will also have the opportunity to visit, the Shopping Center and the Polygon so that they are aware of the business quality and opportunities that can be found in the location.
For his part, the current president of the Organizing Committee, José María Naranjo, has expressed “the moment of innovation that agricultural companies are experiencing. A rural and innovative agriculture, as a strong social engine and committed to employment and training oriented to the needs of our environment, improving production processes and with a strong export focus”.
Agroexpo 2018 is organized by FEVAL, and has been sponsored by Cajalmendralejo and how much with the collaboration of the Junta de Extremadura, Diputación de Cáceres, Diputación de Badajoz and Ayuntamiento de Don Benito.
