Grupo Agrotecnología advances in international expansion with its new headquarters in Peru
The company from Alicante, Grupo Agrotecnología, present in more than 30 countries, continues to advance its commitment to international expansion, with the recent opening of its new headquarters in Perú. With this new subsidiary, which joins those already opened in México and Chile, Grupo Agrotecnología seeks to consolidate itself in new markets and strengthen its international structure and presence in South America, a market in which it aspires to become a clear reference in the sector of the Biostimulants and biopesticides.
Enrique Riquelme, Group General Manager: “This new subsidiary seeks to address the agronomic problems of the powerful Peruvian agricultural market, offering solutions for efficient nutrition and crop protection, while being respectful of the environment”
Headquartered in the capital, Lima, the new subsidiary of Grupo Agrotecnología, has a specialized technical team that aspires to cover the most emerging markets in Perú covered by the Olmos irrigation program that intends to make more than 38,000 hectares of arable land. 23,736 hectares are already available and will host crops such as sugar cane, blueberries, asparagus, avocado, table grapes or mangoes.
The growth of the agricultural market in Peru, as Enrique Riquelme tells us, “is marked by the increasing export of its products to the EU, the US and Asia, where the MRLs are very low”. Hence, as Riquelme goes on to explain, Grupo Agrotecnología aspires to play a determining role for Peruvian agricultural producers, given its extensive experience of more than 20 years in the market and leadership in the sector biostimulants and biopesticides or waste.
