FruitVegetablesEUROPE will relaunch fruit and vegetable consumption until 2021
The MEP Clara Aguilera, together with representatives of the European Association of Fruit and Vegetable Trade (FruitVegetablesEUROPE, EUCOFEL), will present this Wednesday, September 11, at the headquarters of the European Parliament in Brussels, the first generic promotion campaign for fruits and European vegetables made to date, jointly promoted by national industry associations in Spain, France, Poland and Greece. The Eurocamara headquarters will host the press conference where the details of this campaign will be given, called “CuTE: Cultivating the taste of Europe”, which has the financial support of the European Union (EU).
Together with the Spanish Europarliamentary, Clara Aguilera, at the presentation ceremony of the “CuTE: Cultivating the Taste of Europe” campaign, which will begin at 10.30 in the morning, the heads of FruitVegetablesEUROPE, EUCOFEL, promoter organization of this campaign, headed by its president, Juan Marín; of the member organizations of this association, including FEPEX, with the intervention of its president Jorge Brotóns; as well as the associations that are part of the campaign: Aproa (Almería), Tomatoes et Concombre de France and AOP Fraises de France, the National Association of Fruit and Vegetable Producer Organizations of Poland, KZGPOiW, also being represented by Producers from Greece of the associations Incofrut and Hellas.
Next, the “EUROTOUR” will be presented, a mobile greenhouse that will depart from Brussels and travel through different European cities to show the sustainable model of European production. “CuTE” is the first European campaign for information and promotion of European fruits and vegetables, promoted by European producers and the EU to increase knowledge of specific methods of agricultural production of fruits and vegetables (greenhouse and outdoor) and their characteristics (variety, quality and taste) in the internal market.
FruitVegetablesEurope (EUCOFEL) is the European Fruit and Vegetable Association that defends, represents and promotes European fruits and vegetables. The members of FruitVegetablesEurope, are national and regional associations and associations (mainly organizations and producer associations) and companies of the main fruit and vegetable producing countries of the EU (France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Portugal and Spain).
