FRUIT LOGISTICA, the most international commercial platform in the sector of fresh products, supports with a block of international papers the III Congress of Red Fruits, organized by Freshuelva and will be held on 21st and 22nd June in Huelva. In these interventions will delve into the trends and expectations of the berries market in European countries such as the United Kingdom and Germany.
The importance and potential of the berries sector, both in Spain and internationally, as its growth and development in the last decades, has motivated that this international fruit and vegetable contest has wanted to support the third edition of this event. For this reason, FRUIT LOGISTICA sponsors the interventions of Dr. Drew Reynolds, Technical and Business Development Director at the British Total Produce; and Teunis Sikma, Responsible for Quality and Supply Chain Development at the German company Frutania.
Total Produce, the leading marketers in the United Kingdom, with facilities in 22 countries and a turnover of 3.4 billion a year devotes part of its business to the berries sector through its two specialist companies: Total Berry and ASF. With this background and more than thirty years of experience in the sector, Drew Reynolds will talk about the behavior of the British consumer of berries and the expectations of the sector against Brexit.
For its part, Teunis Sikma, will focus on detailing berries preferences in the German market, the evolution in consumers and the impression they have of ‘Origen España’ according to their experience as suppliers of the vast majority of distribution chains in Germany .
Both interventions will be held next Wednesday June 21st, starting at 13:00 hours on the first day of the congress, at Casa Colón. A congress that hopes to bring together representatives of the red fruit sector, the companies that make up the production and commercialization of these crops, as well as companies that provide services or distribute products of application and direct use in this activity.
In this way, FRUIT LOGISTICA shows its commitment to the Spanish berries sector, in the province that concentrates the most important area of production of red fruits (strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries) in the European Union.
