Argo Tractors successfully completes its participation in FIMA and strengthens its position in the Spanish market
In the last edition of the International Machinery Fair of Zaragoza (FIMA), which was held from 20 to 24 February, Argo Tractors garnered recognition, evidencing its growth and consolidation in the Spanish market.
“From today in Spain, Landini and McCormick brands reaffirm as solid reference points for the agricultural mechanization sector”. With this message the Argo Tractors press conference was closed at the FIMA fair in Zaragoza, during which the industrial group exhibited the complete range of its tractors with the McCormick and Landini brands and the technological novelties, as well as presenting the successes registered in the last period and announce the news for the future.
In a stand of more than one thousand square meters, Argo Tractors exhibited its products of excellence, such as the McCormick X6.4 VTDrive, winner of the Tractor of the Year 2018 in the Best Utility category and the Landini Rex 4, awarded in Zaragoza as a Tractor of Spain in the category up to 100 horsepower
“Thanks to a long research and development activity and the daily commitment of the women and men who work in the company with passion and team spirit – said Antonio Salvaterra, Marketing Director of Argo Tractors – we can offer a range of products today complete, reliable and high technological content, suitable to respond to market demands, ensuring maximum respect for the environment and providing comfort and safety to the work of operators in the field and within companies”.
In this regard, mention should be made of the wide recognition received in Zaragoza by the “El Factor Humano” device, which received the award as a Technical Novelty at FIMA. “The Human Factor” – explained Salvaterra – is a software that places man at the center of attention. The device optimizes the operator’s driving style, in relation to three performance indices: comfort, safety and service economy. Through an algorithm, it analyzes the data collected during the journeys made on the road and encourages the operator to adopt an optimal driving “.
The wide project of Digital Transformation in which Argo Tractors is investing is aimed at the satisfaction of the final customer, through global agreements such as the one that was recently closed with TopCon Agriculture, the Japanese multinational leader in precision solutions for agriculture
The product range and technological innovation constitute the basis of this process that Franco Artoni, Business Development Manager – Global Marketing and Parts of Argo Tractors, defined as a true “business transformation, which is crystallized in 3 words: digitization, customer and dealers ” “Farmers and distributors – said Artoni – are prepared to move decisively towards digitalization, because this helps them improve efficiency and profitability.
“On the other hand – concluded Franco Artoni addressing directly to the network of Spanish dealers, particularly interested in the presented novelties – the process of transformation in course looks for to increase the commercial network until obtaining a total coverage of the territory, facilitating the work, through digitization processes and constant training while improving the recognition of brands and the business image”.
For his part, Simeone Morra, Shareholder and Corporate Business Director, drawing a picture of the results achieved by the company and its next objectives, said: “We are a large family group in constant growth and with an important international presence, we have a excellent range of products and we are investing uninterruptedly in products and production processes. The overall results for 2017 show this, with double-digit growth, both in sales volumes and in net turnover. We have a range of high-tech products under the McCormick brand and we are leaders in the production of specialized tractors, such as vintners and fruit handlers, with the Landini brand. The new strategies and new projects will further strengthen the image of Argo Tractors and its brands, with secure benefits in sales volumes and, above all, guaranteeing the satisfaction of our customers and the acquisition of new customers”.
Subsequently, Andrés Moradas, General Director of AgriArgo Ibérica, the local subsidiary of Argo Tractors, highlighted the growth in the Spanish market, exposing the numbers that were recorded in it: “Today we have a complete product range, with a new subsidiary in Villamarciel (which was inaugurated last September, received more than 2,000 visitors), more than 500 farmers in the field tests and demonstrations and important business training and development projects of the commercial network. And above all, in 2017 we have increased our market share in Spain, for the second consecutive year, for both McCormick and Landini tractors.
