AGRARIA 2017 says goodbye with a total influx of more than 30,000 visitors
The fifth edition of AGRARIA, the agricultural machinery biennial organized by the Feria de Valladolid, closes its doors after four days of intense activity in which more than 30,000 visitors have registered with a professional trajectory linked to the primary sector
The 2017 edition has been the most complete in terms of exhibition offer, with increases in the number of participating companies and brands, in the exhibition area and in the catalog of machines, equipment and services offered to the farmer and livestock
This diversity is also reflected in the profile of the visitors who have come to the fair since last Wednesday: farmers, livestock farmers, cooperatives dedicated to crops such as beets, vineyards or livestock, small producers of horticultural products, research centers, universities, agricultural labor companies, etc.
The map of provenance of the registered visitors in AGRARIA incorporates practically all the Spanish autonomous communities with the exception of the Canary Islands and the Balearics and countries like Italy, France, Germany, areas of Portugal such as the Central region, Porto, Aveiro, Braganza, Barcelos, Lourinhã, etc., and even Cuba, through professionals working on a project of the Institute of Tropical Geography, called Environmental Bases for Local Food Sustainability (Basal).
The director general of the Feria de Valladolid, Juan Useros, points out that AGRARIA is a fair where it is bought and sold, “in fact several machines of the exhibition had the poster sold”, but it is also an exchange forum of knowledge, “both in the conferences that take place in the auditoriums, where experts in matters of general interest take part, as well as in the conversations between exhibitors and visitors that, in short, are working meetings.
