The 40th edition of FIMA will feature King Felipe VI at its inauguration
King Felipe VI will inaugurate, on February 20th, the 40th edition of the International Fair of Agricultural Machinery, FIMA 2018. The show, which is held until Saturday 24th, has the presence of more than 1,550 exhibiting firms and occupies the eleven pavilions of Feria de Zaragoza. It will be the second time that the monarch visits FIMA, since he already did it in 2014, when he was still Prince of Asturias. Then he received the FIMA gold badge from the president of Feria de Zaragoza, Manuel Teruel.
With his presence at the event, Felipe VI shows the importance of this show as a starter for a sector as relevant to the national and international economy as the agri-food industry
FIMA will open its doors with an increase of 12% in the number of brands present, with representatives from forty countries, as well as an increase in the area, which will reach 161,000 square meters. All this shows it as the largest fair of those held in Spain and one of the largest in Europe in its sector.
FIMA and Feria de Zaragoza reinforce, thus, their role as leaders in the European primary sector through their commitment to companies that bet on innovation and new technologies as an essential element to improve the work of professionals in agriculture.
