The salons of wine, oil and fruits and vegetables start with good forecasts
The exhibiting firms present at the international wine, oil and fruit and vegetable lounges (ENOMAQ, TECNOVID, OLEOMAQ, OLEOTEC and FRUYVER), which are held at the Zaragoza fairgrounds, concur that the sector shows signs of recovery. Visitors from all over the world have found, at Feria de Zaragoza, the biggest technological offer in the wine, olive and horticultural industry, consolidating itself as the most innovative edition of these events.
The official inauguration, led by the Minister of Rural Development and Environment of the Government of Aragon, Joaquín Olona, and the president of Feria de Zaragoza, Manuel Teruel, has left similar feelings among its protagonists. After the procession, together with other representatives of the Aragonese institutions and companies in the sector, along the exhibition center pavilions, Teruel highlighted the climate of optimism, given the signs of recovery that reigned among the companies with which he has been able to talk.
For his part, Joaquin Olona has recognized the work carried out by the institution in Zaragoza to approximate the technological reality of the agri-food industry. “The wine, olive and horticultural sectors are of great importance for economic and rural development,” explained Olona, who has highlighted the invaluable contribution of these contests to the future of the primary segment and, therefore, to the vertebration of the territory.
Along the same line has been the speech of the general director of Feria de Zaragoza, Rogelio Cuairán, who has taken advantage of the inauguration of the first technical conferences to influence the value of this industry. “They are fundamental products for two reasons: they are an economic engine at Aragonese and national level, and also have many beneficial properties for health and well-being,” said Cuairán.
Thus, the exhibition area, where it has been possible to appreciate an important commercial activity, has been complemented with several parallel activities.
It has been discussed the need to improve the sensorial analysis in the elaboration of the oil in a technical day organized by the Spanish Association of Teachers and Operators of Almazaras
Another unavoidable point that has also been released this year’s edition has been Rincon del Enólogo, where the first approaches to the world of wine have taken place with two presentations by the University of Zaragoza and Agrovin.
The inauguration, which has had the outstanding presence of the directive of the D.O. La Mancha, invited to ENOMAQ 2017, has finished with the delivery of the II Excellence Award, which has fallen on Bodegas Aragonesas S.A
The Zaragoza-based company, based in Fuendejalón, has been awarded by Feria de Zaragoza, recognizing the work carried out by the winery in favor of the wine sector.
For its part, Viñas del Vero S.A. has received a second prize for its contribution to sustainability, by using environmental measures in favor of energy saving in the viticulture process.
