Watermelon Fashion encourages smaller to consume fruit daily
The AGF Group has been campaigning in various almerienses colleges and Grenadians to promote, through its flagship product, Watermelon Fashion, daily consumption of fruit among children, raising awareness to parents and students of the importance of intake of these food for a healthy diet.
The selected schools that have been visited on the occasion of this campaign have been in the province of Almeria, CP San Fernando, CEIP José Saramago, Colegio Diego Velázquez, Colegio Ntra. Sra del Carme and CPR Valley Andarax, and in the province of Granada the Colegio Virgen del Carmen. In all of them it has had the unconditional support of parents and A.M.P.A members who have supported and have been very pleased by this initiative.
Given the excellent reception that this action has had in the visited schools it is planned a increase in future campaigns of the number of schools selected as well as of investment of these activities.
Through this project Sandía Fashion wants to publicize all the benefits Watermelon Fashion, and fruits in general have for health and develop healthy eating habits from an early age.
Numerous scientific publications support the nutritional benefits of an adequate consumption of fruit daily, and is recommended for the prevention of certain cardiovascular diseases, some cancers, diabetes and obesity, especially in the early years of life. According to studies published by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development of the Government of Andalusia, the Andalusian households are below the national average in the consumption of these products. Therefore, the AGF Group has decided to put its bit for this cause.
