The commercial coordinates of olive oil, to be discussed at the next Tertulia Business Agro
Siete Agromarketing and e-Comercio Agrario organize this meeting, which has had the collaboration of the Institute of Foreign Promotion of Castilla-La Mancha (IPEX) and the sponsorship of Bankia, which will take place on November 15th at the Palace of Congresses ‘El Greco’, from Toledo.
On November 15th, Siete Agromarketing and e-Comercio Agrario will hold the Tertulia Business Agro: “Olive Oil, US markets and Mexico”, for which they have had the special collaboration of the Institute of Foreign Promotion of Castilla-La Mancha ( IPEX) and the sponsorship of Bankia. A meeting that aims to bring together the main players in the sector and which will meet renowned experts in the field to address, as a real possibility, the great opportunity for olive oil to establish synergies with partners from EE.UU and Mexico. Markets in which the consumption of olive oil is booming, and where local production is practically nonexistent.
The potential of consumption in the US market, the third world consumer behind Spain and Italy, is about 300,000 tons, 90% of which imports, with Spain being its main supplier
For its part, the Mexican market praises the benefits of olive oil, being a product with great projection, which augurs very positive expectations for the Spanish brands, both commercially and through the establishment of internationalization and investment policies.
And it is that the export is a fundamental pillar for the Spanish olive oil sector, and the continuous search for alternative markets is key to contribute to its development and growth. A reality supported by the latest MAPAMA data, according to which, Spanish exports of olive oil to third countries have increased compared to the previous season.
Sales of olive oil to the US have grown by 43%. Meanwhile, purchases by EU countries have declined
With the realization of the Tertulias Business Agro, from Siete Agromarketing we bet on the establishment of synergies, because we are convinced of the need to promote new business channels among the different agents of the agri-food sector through dialogue, as well as between the media Specialized. For this, we also have the collaboration of Olimerca.
