The Canarian government shows the best of its wine production in FENAVIN 2017
Canarias exhibits the excellence of its wines in FENAVIN 2017, one of the most important meeting points of the wine sector, which stands out for its ability to generate business contacts and whose last edition brings together some 17,000 buyers. The presence of the Canary Islands in this fair, which takes place in Ciudad Real from 9th to 11th May, will be strongly represented by the wines from 19 wineries and seven Regulatory Councils of the Denominations of Origin of the Archipelago, as well as the Cabildo de Tenerife, through The Vinos de Tenerife brand, which will participate in this fair under the umbrella of the Canarian Government‘s stand.
In the words of the Deputy Minister of Primary Sector, Abel Morales, this biennial event “represents an opportunity for Canarian winemakers to promote the wines of the Archipelago and, especially, to enter into relationships with potential buyers who meet at this important meeting”.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Water of the Canarian Government, through the Canarian Institute of Agro-food Quality (ICCA) and the public company Management of the Rural Environment of the Canary Islands (GMR), has arranged a stand of 126 square meters extension in this meeting, which will be represented the CRDO Vinos La Gomera, Tacoronte-Acentejo, La Orotava Valley, Güímar Valley, Abona, Gran Canaria and Canary Islands, next to the companies Altos de Trevejos, Crater, La Higuera mayor, Presas Ocampo, Tafuriaste, Tajinaste, Ferrera, Bodegas Insulares de Tenerife, Las Tirajanas, Los Bermejos, Bodegas Noroeste de La Palma, Viñátigo, Cándido Hernández Pío, Cumbres de Abona, Eugenio Reverón Sierra, Jottocar, Mesur, Monje and Tomás Frías González .
This fair, which will have the participation of 1,802 Spanish wineries, is an important meeting point for importers, distributors and international agents, which in previous editions has allowed the Canarian winemakers to establish interesting marketing routes for the wines of the Archipelago, to destinations such as China, Japan, Germany, the United States, Poland, etc.
On Wednesday, May 10th, the Ministry will present the wines awarded in the Official Agrocanarias 2017 Competition to prestigious specialized communicators from the state and international scene, as part of a meeting chaired by the Deputy Minister of Primary Sector, Abel Morales
This session, which will also be attended by the director of the ICCA, José Díaz-Flores, is aimed at publicizing and highlighting the uniqueness and excellence of the Canarian wines among journalists and gastronomic bloggers.
