Spain: Route of Iberian ham and its tourism potential

Interpretation Center and Promotion of the Iberian Conference welcomed the new line of business for the Iberian: Route Ham, where businessmen related to the sector of the Iberian in the Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche analyzed the potential of tourism linked to this activity.


Attendees met tourism competitiveness factors in the area and the implementation of the Ruta del Jamon. These conferences, held with great success in attendance were organziadas by Andalucía Emprende, the Regulatory Council of the PDO Jamón de Huelva and Jabugo Trail Foundation, with the participation of the City of Jabugo.

Everyone these days analyzed the tourism product based on the production of high quality ham. It is a product that embraces all actors in the Iberian sector meadows, dryers, warehouses, restaurants, travel agencies and shops in general.
