Spain: Quality Pascual donates 400,000 kilos of products in 2015

Donations of this dairy company has been channeled mostly through the Spanish Food Bank Federation (FESBAL), an entity with which it has signed a collaboration agreement this year. Pascual quality has provided direct support to employment and has fostered helps sensitive and disadvantaged groups such as people with disabilities, children, adolescents at risk of social exclusion and seniors.

Donations of this dairy company has been channeled mostly through the Spanish Food Bank Federation (FESBAL), an entity with which it has signed a collaboration agreement this year. Pascual quality has provided direct support to employment and has fostered helps sensitive and disadvantaged groups such as people with disabilities, children, adolescents at risk of social exclusion and seniors.

Calidad Pascual continues once again showing its commitment to those social groups most at risk of exclusion and this year has donated 400,000 kilos of products of different brands. The largest number of donations have been intended for various food banks located throughout the Spanish geography, whose objective is to redistribute foodstuffs between legally recognized charities.

In this regard, in 2015 Calidad Pascual has signed an agreement with the Spanish Federation of Food Banks (FESBAL), through which it has pledged to continue contributing product, as it has done historically.
Pascual quality works to improve the quality of life of people daily; understood this as a collective commitment to improvement in the daily search for their welfare and development of society.

Therefore, the company not only works with the donation of food, but also with various actions, such as direct employment assistance through Caritas and its center of employability and social inclusion Workshop 99 of the Integra Foundation and Ilunion; or actions in the area of ​​health, such as donating blood or plugs collection to raise funds for children with special needs, through the agreement with the Seur Foundation.

The Corporate Volunteer Group Pascual is another channel through which the company help the most disadvantaged is channeled. This group values ​​the altruistic help employees Pascual provide various causes throughout the whole year.

In this sense, this year has highlighted the internal campaign ‘Together for Nepal’, in which company employees, along with Tomas Pascual Gomez and Pilar Cuétara Foundation mobilized to raise more than $ 22,000, which was allocated to World Food Programme of the United Nations.

Improving the quality of life of people and social integration

Along with all these activities mentioned, other organizations with which it has collaborated Calidad Pascual in the last 12 months have been Red Cross, AECC, ADFO, Juegaterapia or International Cooperation. Through these entities has made it to various groups at risk of exclusion such as the elderly, children, young, unemployed or people with disabilities, etc.

In this year that is about to end, the coffee brand Pascual Quality Mocay, has collaborated in the third edition of ‘Operation Café’, in which 700 cafes linked to the firm managed to raise more than 30,000 euros for fighting hunger, in a joint campaign with Action Against Hunger and the Spanish Federation of Hotels.

All this is just a sample of Calidad Pascual commitment to society. As Francisco Hevia, director of Corporate Responsibility and Communication, he said “one of our priorities is to contribute to social development by supporting performances with the most disadvantaged groups, in order to improve their quality of life and integration into society.”

Strong investment in Castilla and Leon

Castilla y Leon has once again become one of the regions that have received more donations from Calidad Pascual. Not surprisingly, the flagship of the company is located in Aranda de Duero and that is where a large number of the solidarity contributions of the company throughout 2015 have taken place.

These grants are part of the agreement signed in December 2013 with the Social Action Foundation and Guardianship, driven by the Castilla and Leon, in order to participate in the Solidarity Fund to fight poverty and exclusion of this community.

Also, on the initiative of employees during this year they have made donations to the Red Cross and has remained the usual collaboration with Caritas and other NGOs in the area.
