SILWET ® L-77, Arysta LifeScience’s state-of-the-art super wetting product

Arysta LifeScience Iberia‘s catalog of innovations for 2017 include products such as SILWET® L-77, Acramite or Vacciplant Max, among others. For the presentation of the first of them, a super wetting product of the latest generation, the 14th edition of the National Symposium on Plant Protection, held last January in Seville, was chosen as the framework for presentation. An important event in which the firm returned to be present with a commercial presentation and a stand.

Arysta LifeScience Iberia’s Director of Marketing and Development, Rafael Pérez, was responsible for presenting the main characteristics of SILWET ® L-77 as well as its mode of action to an audience made up of prominent representatives of the sector. It is an adjuvant considered super wetting belonging to the group of organosiliconates, developed to significantly increase the coverage, penetration and wettability of the treatment broth of any phytosanitary or nutrient.

SILWET® L-77 is a non-ionic, organosiliconated surfactant which acts to reduce the surface tension of aqueous solutions to a much greater extent than conventional wetting agents.

Its use allows a significant increase in the coverage, penetration and wettability of phytosanitary solutions or nutrients on the surface of the treated plants, even those that are morphologically complex or difficult to wet, waxy, hairy, etc.

Another great advantage of SILWET® L-77 is its ability to reduce drift.

Action mode

SILWET® L-77 increases the effectiveness of plant protection and nutrient applications:

• By reducing the surface tension of the drop and increasing the spreading of the drops, the uniform and complete distribution on the vegetal surface is favored. This is especially important in products that act by contact as it improves their effectiveness.
• It improves the diffusion of the treatment broth and its transport to the points where we want to affect, as the apical meristems.
• By altering the solubility ratios, the foliar absorption of the phytosanitaries and nutrients applied through the cuticle is accelerated.
• It improves the adhesion and penetration through the stomata, with the consequent increase of the resistance to washing by rains.

SILWET® L-77 is compatible with most plant and plant nutrients. However, because local conditions can alter the solubility of the mixtures, it is advisable to make a preliminary test.

IV Meeting of the Commercial Network

Sevilla was also the setting for the IV Meeting of the Arysta LifeScience Iberia Business Network, a meeting that annually brings together over a hundred professionals from Spain and Portugal.

The day began with the presentation of Félix Lorente, general director of Arysta LifeScience Iberia, position that took over last September. In his speech, Félix Lorente presented the new stage of the company with its new offices in Barcelona and focused on premises such as greater competitiveness and a clear customer orientation.

Jozef Michrina, marketing director of Arysta LifeScience EMEA, highlighted Arysta LifeScience as the leading company currently among the top 10 agrochemicals in the world

The marketing strategy for 2017 was presented by Rafael Pérez, Director of Marketing and Development of Arysta LifeScience Iberia, who presented the new portfolio of products, whose main novelty is the incorporation of Biosolutions, as well as other new products with important products such as Acramite, Vacciplant Max and Silwet, among others, that join to already consolidated products like Syllit, Cythrin Max or Select Max.

The technical presentation was given by Alejandro Tena, from the Valencian Institute of Agricultural Research (IVIA), which dealt with the integrated management of mites.

Arysta LifeScience Iberia’s director of Communication, Clara Narrillos, presented the new web pages for Spain and Portugal, which will find the products of the portfolio as well as the main news of Arysta LifeScience Iberia.

Finally, José Buendía, Commercial Director of Arysta LifeScience Iberia, presented the commercial policy that will be carried out in 2017.
