Rodrigo Sánchez Haro will inaugurate the II Tertulia Business Agro on the olive sector
The Andalusian Councilor for Agriculture, Rodrigo Sánchez Haro will inaugurate next Wednesday, October 25th, the 2nd Tertulia Business Agro on the olive sector, “Olivar: quality and innovation for international markets”. This event is organized by SIETE Agromarketing and e-Comercio Agrario (ECA) together with ASAJA Córdoba, the cooperative group DCOOP, and the strategic collaboration of Extenda-Andalusian Agency for Foreign Promotion and the Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development of Andalusia (CAPDER).
A meeting, which will emphasize the importance of the internationalization of companies in the olive sector, and which will be a unique opportunity to discuss with you, with experts and leading industry representatives, on innovation or quality as keys to become more competitive in foreign markets. Sponsored by ADP Tech and Todolivo, it will also have the collaboration of Bureau Veritas and World Olive Oil Exhibition, and the magazine Fruticultura, as a specialized press media, and Integral Media.
Through a careful program, which includes the interventions of renowned experts and professionals of the sector, we hope to repeat the success of the call and participation of the Tertulia Business Agro in Olivar, celebrated last November 15 in Toledo.
The importance that traditionally has had the cultivation and the olive industry in Andalusia, with more than 1.5 million hectares. of cultivation of which more than 350,000 correspond to the province of Cordova, justifies the election of the Cordobese capital to host the II Tertulia Business Agro dedicated to the olive sector. About 250,000 families from more than 300 villages in the Andalusian Autonomous Community live, directly or indirectly, the cultivation of the olive grove, which, with 170,000 farms, generates 40 percent of agricultural employment. At present, Andalusia is the world leader in oil production, with 80 percent of the national total and 37 percent of the world, beating records in exports that have doubled in the last decade and that in the first eight months of campaign (October 2016 to June 2017) exceeded 2,000 million euros.
The II Tertulia Business Agro in the olive sector, moderated by the agro-alimentary journalist Ana Isabel Sánchez, is oriented to an audience mainly composed of representatives and businessmen of the sector, mills, technicians and farmers. It will start at 9:15 p.m., with the reception of guests, then at 10:00 p.m. of an inaugural session in which the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development of the Junta de Andalucía, Rodrigo Sánchez Haro; the deputy director general of the cooperative group DCoop, Rafael Sánchez de Puerta; the president of ASAJA Córdoba, Ignacio Fernández de Mesa, and the general director of SIETE Agromarketing, Gissele Falcón.
Then, at 10.35h, will open the meeting: KEYS FOR QUALITY PRODUCTION, in which will participate the Head of Quality and Promotion Service of the General Directorate of Agribusiness and Food Chain (CAPDER), Margarita Villagómez Villegas; the technical director of Todolivo in Spain, Felipe Oliva Abusleme; and the regional director of ADP TECH Intergal Española-Grupo Fertiberia, Antonio López Cubero.
At 11.50h, we will give way to the EXPERT TERRITORY IN INTERNATIONAL MARKET: “Internationalization as a competitive improvement strategy”, which will feature the interventions of the head of the Department of Agri-food, Foreign Promotion area of Extenda-Andalusian Promotion Agency Exterior, Pablo Lería Couderc; the international strategic consultant, Juan Vilar Hernández; the director of the Southern Region of Bureau Veritas, Francisco Martín Santamaría, and the international commercial director of DCoop, Manuel Pérez.
At the end of each meeting, a questionnaire will open that will be broadcast in real time, through social networks (twitter, hashtag #BusinessAGRO, and facebook)
The finishing touch to this event, will be put, at 13.05, the conclusions that will be exposed to the attending public, which is expected to be around the 150 professionals linked to the olive sector.
After the conclusions and closing of the meeting, the attendees will be invited to a Spanish -Neworkink farewell wine. In this event, where we will talk about quality, we have the special collaboration of the five Protected Denominations of Origin (PDO) of the province of Córdoba (BAENA, PRIEGO DE CÓRDOBA, MONTORO-ADAMUZ, and LUCENA), which will display their products, and the wine will be a courtesy of the DOP MONTILLA-MORILES.
