Pavilions 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 of the Fairgrounds of Madrid
Organized by IFEMA and FEPEX, the ninth edition of Fruit Attraction will be held from 18th to 20th October in halls 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 of the fairgrounds in Madrid, from 9.30 am to 7.00 pm until 16.00 on the last day of celebration. This year’s edition will feature more than 1,500 exhibitors, 20% more than the previous year, and a program of parallel activities, among them the Global Fresh Market Forum: a business meeting with Brazil and China, as well as the specific days Stone Fruit Attraction, and Lettuce Attraction.
Of the 1,500 exhibiting companies, 66% correspond to national exhibitors, highlighting the growing international participation, both at the exhibition and visitors level.
The expected professionals will be 60,000 from 110 countries. The area will reach 45,000 square meters, which is an increase of 10% in relation to the previous year
The wide program of activities and parallel days will be organized around three axes: the Fruit Forums, in pavilions 5 and 9, where they will develop multiple days during the three days of fair; Pasarela and Forums Innova, mainly dedicated to exhibitors, where exhibitions of novelties and products are held, as well as presentations and parallel events of the participants, and thirdly, the Fruit Fusion space, located between Pavilions 5 and 7 for presentations gastronomic, demonstrations, showcookings …
Among the planned events is the Global Fresh Market Forum, organized by ICEX, Ministry of Agriculture and FEPEX, which will include two business meetings, with China on the one hand and Brazil on the other, on Wednesday 18th, from 16 to 18 hours in Fruit Forum 9. This year, China and Brazil are the Importing Countries, a new trading tool in this year’s edition, which will attract buyers from these two countries in order to develop trade relations.
This fair includes the specific forums: the third edition of Stone Fruit Attraction, organized by Apoexpa, the first edition of Lettuce Attraction, organized by Proexport, and La granada: perspectives for an emerging fruit, organized by the Designation of Origin Granada of Elche
Also noteworthy are the days with or without phytosanitary products ?, organized by AEPLA and FEPEX on Friday 20th; The emergence of new marketing channels in fruits and vegetables, organized by APAE at the Forum Innova 10, on Thursday, October 19th; as well as the VI Post-harvest Congress, which will take place during the three-day fair.
FRUIT ATTRACTION will have new spaces this year: The Nuts hubs, dedicated to nuts, Smart Agro, aimed at boosting technology, knowledge and innovation, and Seed Planet, aimed at presenting novelties in seeds and plant varieties, thematic that also will have a specific day, organized by ANOVE. Also, the launching program has been introduced, with a very economic “ready2exhibit” format designed to give visibility to the new companies of the sector created in the last 2 years. This, also includes a prize of 12,000 euros for the best project of the call.
