Mapama signs collaboration agreements with the Spanish Network for Rural Development and the State Network for Rural Development
The general director of Rural Development, Innovation and Forestry Policy of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Isabel Bombal, has signed two collaboration agreements with the Spanish Network of Rural Development (ReDR) and with the State Network of Rural Development, to support the realization of integral and sustainable rural development activities.
These agreements, which take place in 2018, cover technical assistance and advice to the Local Action Groups (LAGs), as well as the dialogue between ReDR and REDER before National and International Public and Private Institutions and necessary support documents.
They also contemplate the communication, maintenance and management services of the telematic network, assistance, representation and support for the organization of meetings, conferences, seminars and conferences on rural development and the compilation of examples of good practices in the application of the LEADER methodology .
Leader approach and local action groups
The improvement of governance levels and the involvement of citizens in the development of policies is necessary for the development of smart rural communities, an approach that the Ministry is currently committed to.
The associations of Local Action Groups act as interlocutor of the same before the public entities and they fulfill a function of high value as transmitters of the decisions and debates on the policies that are put in march, and as generators of work in network between GAL at the national as well as the international level.
