The start of the year could not have been more spectacular, with the massive diffusion of the Gastronomic Capital of Huelva during the rebroadcast of the bells in TVE1 when the chefs stars of Master Chef, Pepe Rodríguez and Jordi Cruz, said goodbye to the previous gastronomic capital, Toledo, and greeted the new one, referring on several occasions to 2017 as the year of Huelva. For its part, Telediario 1st edition of January 1st dedicated a large report to the gastronomy of Huelva singing its excellencies.
Palacín: “The program of activities in which the Technical Office is working is original, popular, varied and very creative, linking the gastronomy to all the events and celebrations that are hold in the capital of Huelva

In that sense, he emphasized how “the opinion of hoteliers is fundamental because they are the smile, the hospitality of the city. And we know that we are working side by side with the sector to draw a unique and different offer that will be rewarded with the support of the public”.
One of the first activities to be developed in the coming dates will be the signing of the Collaboration Agreement between the City of Huelva and the entities that promote the award (FEHR and FEPET) and an institutional act that will act as the true official starting signal .
On January 18th, at the FITUR Hall in Madrid, the Mayor of Huelva Gabriel Cruz will take over the Gastronomic Capital from the Mayor of Toledo, Milagros Tolón, at a large media event to be held at the stand Huelva CEG 2017
