Globalcaja strengthens its collaboration agreement with the La Mancha agri-food cooperatives
In the framework of the General Assembly of Agro-food Cooperatives of Castilla-La Mancha, held recently in Tomelloso, the agreement of collaboration that this Association had with the banking entity Globalcaja has been renewed, which contributes to reinforce in many ways the collaboration that have maintained for years both entities in the matter of training and promotion, among other areas.
The agreement has been signed by Globalcaja’s president, Carlos de la Sierra, and the president of CLM’s Agro-food Cooperatives, Angel Villafranca, who have highlighted its importance since, through it, both organizations share common objectives such as the projection and structuring of the cooperative world and the promotion and internationalization of its products.
The two presidents, who have been accompanied by the Director of Cooperatives, José Luis Rojas, and the director of Rural Banking Globalcaja, Alberto Marcilla, have stressed that for both parties the service to the agricultural sector is its fundamental axis, being also one of the pillars of the Castilian-La Mancha economy. To this end, it is vital to strengthen cooperatives and their representative entities to improve the production and operation of producer partners, agricultural holdings and the agri-food and environmental industries, in order to promote the sustainability and growth of rural areas.
