FIMA 2018, showcase of the latest firsts of Bridgestone
Bridgestone, the world’s number one tire and other rubber products company, will be present at FIMA, one of the most important agricultural machinery fairs in the world, Pavilion 11, Stand EG 15-16 19-20, from 20th to 24th February in Zaragoza. Bridgestone will present the new Premium VX-Tractor tire in Spain, with which farmers will be able to transport greater loads, both in the field and on the road.
The tough and flexible housing, with longer and deeper studs, provides excellent traction and a long service life. Along with Bridgestone’s VT-Tractor, VT-Combine and VX-Tractor tires, the Firestone brand will also be represented on the stand, with the Performer 95, Maxi Traction 65 and Duraforce UT tires.
Attendees can also enjoy ice sculptures made at the booth on the occasion of Bridgestone’s sponsorship of its first PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics and Firestone’s music with live concerts
For farmers it is very important to work preserving the land. In addition to Firestone’s agricultural tires, Bridgestone will present its VT-Tractor, which provides excellent traction in the field.
The technology of “High Bending” (VF), allows the VT-Tractor to operate also with a low air pressure, thanks to the special elasticity of the tire and the renewed design of the tread
This implies up to 0.4 bar less pressure compared to tires that use a standard technology. In this way, the farmer will not only be able to transport heavy loads while preserving the land, but will also save fuel.
The VT-Combine, with its “Enhanced Bending” (IF technology), has been specially developed for cyclic field work (Cyclic Field Operations / CFO) and supports a 20% higher load capacity when compared to tires conventional standards (ETRTO Standard), which also allows to work with a lower air pressure. For farmers, the harvest season is one of the most important times of the year. These innovative tires save time and work thanks to their greater capacity of cyclic loading at 15 km / h, instead of the 10 km / h of conventional wheels. VT-Combine helps farmers to do their jobs faster and obtain higher profits, with superior load capacity, excellent traction (thanks to the new and patented stud design), durability, comfort and land preservation.
By using VT-Combine tires, farmers protect their most valuable resource: their fertile soils
Firestone and Performer 95, Maxi Traction 65 and Duraforce UT
The Performer 95 is an especially narrow and durable tire for field maintenance and fumigation work. It supports a greater load capacity and offers an improved driving dynamics of up to 65 km / h, as well as excellent traction and a self-cleaning function. The Firestone Performer 95 Row Crop features a rigid steel belt that reinforces the tread and allows the tire to withstand higher loads with higher pressure.
Firestone will also show in FIMA the Maxi Traction 65, presented in 2016, with some studs 11% higher than those of its predecessor
The result is a traditional branded product that offers a longer shelf life with excellent performance to the end. In addition, Maxi Traction has wider studs and a wider tire, which in turn provides better contact with the ground and, consequently, extends the life of the tire. The benefits are also evident on the road: by having larger studs and having a greater overlap of them, the wear of the tire is reduced by driving on the road, achieving, at the same time, greater comfort. This is a great advantage for all those farmers who depend on fast and heavy tractors to move between the widely spaced fields.
In addition to the Maxi Traction 65 and the Performer 95, Firestone will be represented at the Zaragoza Fair by the Duraforce UT. This tire of excellent reputation is aimed at compact loaders and telescopic rear wheels, providing excellent lateral stability. With its resistance to cuts and punctures, it offers the best grip on hard surfaces, uniform wear and a long service life. Firestone is a leading manufacturer of agricultural tires that enjoys a consolidated position in the European market. The brand belongs to the Bridgestone Group.
