EU: The oil sector pomace oil for a common future

The European Federation of Olive-Pomace Oil and Olive Biomass starts walking and does so with the force that gives the union and good understanding between the four associations of olive cake treatment plants there is at present in the European Union.

The Federation, which met for the first time in Madrid, is composed of associations ANEO (Spain), ANIDA (Portugal), ASSITOL (Italy) and SPEL (Greece) and is scheduled for final commissioning in June this 2016, the date on which signed the Constitutive Act and elect the board.

The main objective of the organization is to defend the interests of the sector to the government of the European Union, the promotion of olive- pomace oil and biomass, and emphasize to society the environmental work done in rural areas, in general and in the olive sector in particular.

The headquarters of the future European federation will be located in Seville and the Presidency, which is rotating, it will lie primarily in Spain, the main producer of olive oil and pomace olive biomass in Europe; the Vice President in Italy; Secretariat Treasury in Greece and Portugal.
