+ Broccoli participates in the European campaign CuTE-4You
The + Broccoli Association, as a member of the European fruit and vegetable association FruitVegetablesEUROPE (EUCOFEL), participates in the “CuTE-4You: Cultivating the Taste of Europe for You” campaign, a tribute to the essential work of European fruit and vegetable producers during the pandemic.
The campaign, launched in April, aims to value all the efforts of the fruit and vegetable sector during the last year and generate a movement of support to all farmers who have supplied the European population, through the promotion of the consumption of fruit and vegetables produced in the EU.
FruitVegetablesEUROPE intends to reinforce the feeling of pride of belonging to a producing country such as Spain, Germany an Belgium, the main agricultural producing countries in Europe.
For this, other actions, a video spot has been launched featuring four Eurovision representatives from these countries, two of them Spanish: Blas Cantó (representing Spain in the 2021 edition), Soraya Arnelas (in 2009), Natalie Horler (Germany representative in 2013) and Kate Ryan (Belgium’s choice in 2006).
Through this spot, the campaign seeks to sympathize with European consumers through something that unites them as a population, such as Eurovision, and to remember the pride of something so ours, such as the orchard and the fields.
The aim of the campaign is to encourage European consumers to consume European products and to actively seek distinction in each food. “We will ask citizens to look at the label and make sure their products are from here. We all know that the best way to thank EU farmers for their efforts is to consume and enjoy European fruit and vegetables. With this, the consumer wins, the producer wins and EUROPE WINS ”, highlights the president of FruitVegetablesEUROPE, Juan Marín.
With this new campaign, the global strategy already launched in 2018 by FruitVegetablesEUROPE will continue, focused on highlighting the production methods and characteristics of European fruits and vegetables, which has already reached 220 million consumers.
It is joined by Spanish associations such as + Broccoli, along with other prominent and representative organizations of the sector such as Citrus Management Committee, Afrucat, Freshuelva, Cooperativas Agro-alimentary de Granada / Asparagus Verde, Alcachofa de España, Proexport, Asociafruit, Afruex, Apoexpa, Fedefruta and FEPEX.
Through the Eurovision spot and other campaign actions, it will also seek to reinforce the confidence of the European consumer in their own product, not only because of its origin, but because of all that this entails: “you must be clear about purchasing fruit and vegetables produced and made in Europe will provide greater guarantees of food safety, quality, respect for the environment and an added commitment to the values and ways of doing, in social and labor matters, of the European Union ”.
