Banco Sabadell offers La Mancha’s agro-food cooperatives a financing line for projects in its sector
Banco Sabadell and Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias Castilla-La Mancha have signed a collaboration agreement, in force since April 7th, whereby the bank makes available to the organization a catalog of products and services to support its financial needs. In that catalog, there is a line of financing that Banco Sabadell has agreed with the European Investment Bank (EIB) to promote the development of projects carried out by companies and self-employed in the agro-food sector.
In addition to this credit coverage, Banco Sabadell also offers cooperative entities different solutions to guarantee the needs of their day-to-day activities, such as, for example, campaign financing, agricultural insurance, means of payment -such as credit cards Visa or the subsidized diesel card- and the availability of contracted remunerated products, such as the Agrarian Business Expansion Account and the Agro Deposits.
The agreement was signed by Territorial Director Alberto Maté Inclán and Jose Luis Rojas Sánchez, Director of Cooperatives, accompanied by the Delegate of the Sabadell Agricultural Sector Benigno Fernández Serrano and the deputy director of Cooperatives, Juan Miguel del Real. Both entities have agreed to point out that “this agreement will help strengthen Castilian farmers and livestock farmers in La Mancha to make them more innovative and competitive.”
Through this alliance, Banco Sabadell, through its Sabadell Agribusiness Unit, continues to strengthen its role as the financial partner of reference for the country’s agrifood industry
At present, Sabadell Agrario Business manages a turnover of about 2,350 million euros, 11% more than a year ago, has about 60,000 customers and has a network of 540 offices specialized in services and products for the Professionals at the national level.
