Argentine poultry sector seeking strategies to improve their situation

From the Center of Poultry Processing Companies (CEPA) and the Argentina Chamber of Poultry Producers (CAPIA) is working on a plan to boost improve the situation in poultry production in the South American country, the newspaper Mendoza On Line.

For the president of CEPA, Roberto Domenech, “the consumption of poultry meat and eggs has turned poultry production in the animal protein consumed in our country with 62 kg per person per year, comprising 45.8 kilos of chicken and 16.2 kilos of eggs.”

These statements were made to coincide with the celebration of the National Anniversary of the Poultry and Domenech stressed the need to create “a table of meats that allows providing the necessary support to the various officials in international negotiations, ensuring full supply in the domestic market, to build a meat trade policy.”

He also stressed the need to improve the efficiency of the sector and for this we must bring technology, investment and research to innovate and export since “the domestic market is adequately supplied and we are in 118 kg of animal protein per capita and growing” he said.
